Pharmacology: Pharmacokinetics: Lamotrigine is well-absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and peak plasma concentrations (C_max) occur approximately 2.5 hrs after oral dose. It is widely distributed in the body and is reported to be about 55% bound to plasma proteins. It is extensively metabolized in the liver and excreted almost entirely conjugate.
