Domperidone (Motilium) is contraindicated in the following situations: Known hypersensitivity to domperidone or any of the excipients.
Prolactin‑releasing pituitary tumour (prolactinoma).
Co-administration with potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (regardless of their QT prolonging effects) which have been shown to cause QT interval prolongation such as clarithromycin, erythromycin, itraconazole, oral ketoconazole, posaconazole, ritonavir, saquinavir, telithromycin, telaprevir, and voriconazole (see Precautions and Interactions).
Co-administration with QT-prolonging drugs, at the exception of apomorphine.
Whenever stimulation of gastric motility might be dangerous, e.g., in the presence of gastrointestinal hemorrhage, mechanical obstruction or perforation.
In patients with moderate or severe hepatic impairment (see Pharmacology: Pharmacokinetics under Actions).
