Indications/Uses
Montezyd 4/Montezyd 5 Prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm. Relief of day- & night-time symptoms of seasonal & perennial allergic rhinitis. Montezyd 10 Prophylaxis & chronic treatment of asthma, including the prevention of day- & night-time symptoms & prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm, in adult & paed patients ≥2 yr. Relief of day- & night-time symptoms of seasonal & perennial allergic rhinitis in adult & paed patients ≥2 yr.

Dosage/Direction for Use
Asthma &/or allergic rhinitis All doses to be taken once daily. Time of administration: Evening for asthma; individualised to patient needs for allergic rhinitis; evening for both asthma & allergic rhinitis. Adult ≥15 yr 10 mg. Paed patient 6-14 yr 5 mg, 2-5 yr 4 mg.

Overdosage

Administration
May be taken with or without food.

Special Precautions
Should not be used to treat acute asthma attacks. Should not be abruptly substituted for inhaled or oral corticosteroids. Clinical monitoring is recommended when systemic corticosteroid reduction is considered. Pregnancy & lactation. Safety & effectiveness in paed patients <2 yr have not been studied. Montezyd 4/Montezyd 5 Phenylketonuric patients.
