The medicine should be taken orally (by mouth).
One capsule once a day for supplementation and twice a day for therapeutic use, or as prescribed by the physician.
What Should the Patient Do if They Miss a Dose: If the patient misses a dose for the day, just give the next dose and the subsequent doses at the usual recommended schedule (i.e once a day).
Do not double the dose unless recommended by doctor.
Although too much dietary Vitamin C is unlikely to be harmful, prolonged intake of high doses of sodium ascorbate may cause difficulty in breathing, nausea and diarrhea.
If the patient has taken more than the recommended dosage, consult a doctor or contact a Poison Center right away.
Don't take the medicine if the patient is allergic to the component of the product.
The sodium content of sodium ascorbate should be considered when this medicine is used in patients on salt-restricted diet.

When Should the Patient Consult the Doctor: If any undesirable effect occurs, consult the doctor.
Serious allergic reactions to the medicine are rare. Consult a doctor for side effects such as diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal cramps or heartburn.
Sodium ascorbate may interact with Bortezomib (anti-cancer drug) and Deferoxamine (drug to remove excess iron from the body). These medications may cause some risk when taken together with sodium ascorbate. Other than the aforementioned, the amounts of nutrients in the medicine are not expected to interact with food or medicines.
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C.
Keep container tightly closed.
