Do not use the rhythm or temp method; HIV (AIDS) or any other sexually transmitted infection; breast cancer; liver/gallbladder illness, diabetes, depression, Crohn's disease/ulcerative colitis, haemolytic uremic syndrome, sickle cell disease, epilepsy, SLE, illness which appeared during pregnancy or previous use of sexual hormone (eg, hearing loss, porphyria, gestational herpes, Sydenham's chorea); patients w/ chloasma should avoid direct sunlight & UV rays; hereditary angioedema can worsen; surgery, long periods of immobilization or serious accidents during treatment may increase risk of venous thrombosis; use of any combined contraceptive may increase risk of developing venous/arterial thrombosis especially in smoking patients.
