Adverse Reactions
Silybin: GI distress, itching & headache may occur rarely. Phosphatidylcholine: Nausea, diarrhea, excessive fullness & increased salivation have occasionally been reported.
Drug Interactions
Silybin: May increased the effects of drugs metabolized by CP450 system (eg, erythromycin, nifedipine, tamoxifen, warfarin, clopidogrel, fexofenadine). May reduce effect of metronidazole. May decrease insulin requirements of diabetic patients w/ alcoholic liver cirrhosis. Milk thistle: May reduce the effectiveness of OCs.
