Multivitamins are especially formulated for prophylactic or therapeutic nutritional supplementation in physiological stressful condition. Multivitamins supply therapeutic levels of water-soluble vitamins (Ascorbic Acid and all B-complex vitamins) and supplemental levels of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D and E).
Pharmacology: Vitamins and minerals are essential for normal metabolic functions including hematopoiesis. The B-complex vitamins are necessary for the conversion of carbohydrate, protein and fat into tissue and energy. Ascorbic acid is involved in tissue repair and collagen formation, therefore essential to the integrity of the epithelial cells. Vitamin A is necessary for proper functioning of the retina. Vitamin E is an antioxidant which preserves essential cellular constituents. Water-soluble vitamins (B-complex and C) are not significantly stored by the body and must be replaced continually to maintain essential tissue levels; excess quantities are excreted in the urine. These vitamins are rapidly depleted in conditions interfering with their intake or absorption. Vitamins supply therapeutic levels of Vitamin C and B-complex vitamins. Fat-soluble vitamins can accumulate in the body and do not need replacement as frequently. Therefore, vitamins supply more conservative levels of A, D and E.
Vitamin C is for increased body resistance to stress and illness and for normal weight gain.
Vitamin B-complex is for the prevention of common multivitamin deficiencies caused by stress or infections.
Vitamin D is for the development of strong bones and teeth.
Vitamin A and E are for the maintenance of healthy eyes, skin, gums, lustrous hair and strong connective tissues.
Chlorella Growth Factor (CGF) is a growth-promoting and cell-nourishing substance.
Lysine enhances appetite and gives energy to the body.
Taurine helps in the mental and visual development of growing children.
Zinc is for stronger immune system, increased body resistance and enhanced mental development.
Supplements restrictive or deficient diet.
1-2 years: 1 teaspoon (5 mL).
3-6 years: 2 teaspoons (10 mL).
7-12 years: 1 tablespoon (15 mL).
To be taken once a day for supplement or as prescribed by the physician.
Adverse reactions have been reported with specific vitamins and minerals but generally at levels substantially higher than those in vitamins. However, allergic and idiosyncratic reactions are possible at lower levels.
