Ketoprofen
Indications/Uses
Traumatic inflammations of muscles, sprains & strains. Symptomatic relief of muscular pain.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. History of photosensitivity reactions. Pathological skin changes eg, eczema, or in infected skin or open wounds. Pregnancy (3rd trimester).
Special Precautions
Must not come in contact w/ mucous membrane or the eyes. Risk of developing contact dermatitis & photosensitivity if used >1 wk. Higher risk of allergy in patients w/ asthma combined w/ chronic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis &/or nasal polyposis. Discontinue use if skin rash occurs. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight or UV light in skin areas treated either during treatment or for 2 wk following discontinuation. Not recommended in childn. Lactation.
