The use of Iron (as Ferric Hydroxide Sucrose Complex) is contraindicated in the following conditions: Hypersensitivity to the active substance, to Iron Sucrose or any of its excipients.
Known serious hypersensitivity to other parenteral iron products. Anaemia not caused by iron deficiency.
Evidence of iron overload or hereditary disturbances in utilisation of iron.
The use of iron sucrose is contraindicated in patients with evidence of iron overload, in patients with known hypersensitivity to it or any of its inactive components, and in patients with anemia not caused by iron deficiency.
