Hypersensitivity to candesartan cilexetil or to any of the excipients.
Pregnancy (see Use in Pregnancy & Lactation).
Severe hepatic impairment and/or cholestasis.
Concomitant use of angiotensin II receptor antagonists (AIIRAs), including candesartan cilexetil, or of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors with aliskiren in patients with type 2 diabetes (see Interactions).
Children aged below 1 year (see Pharmacology: Toxicology: Preclinical safety data under Actions).
