Contraindications
Known hypersensitivity to amlodipine, valsartan, HCTZ, other sulfonamide derived medicinal products or to any of the excipients.
Pregnancy (see Use in Pregnancy & Lactation).
Contraindicated in patients with anuria because of hydrochlorothiazide component.
Concomitant use of angiotensin receptor antagonists (ARBs) - including valsartan - or of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) with aliskiren in patients with Type 2 diabetes (see Dual blockade of the RAS under Interactions).
