Evening Primrose oil.
Description
Each Softgel Capsule contains Evening Primrose oil 1000 mg.
Evening primrose oil is extracted from the seeds of Oenothera biennis.
Indications/Uses
Relieve the discomforts of post menstrual syndrome, menopause, menstruation, endometriosis and fibrocystic breasts. It is also indicated for cervical ripening.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Take 1 to 2 softgel capsule daily or as recommended by the healthcare professional.
Special Precautions
Evening primrose oil is not recommended to be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Evening primrose oil may raise the risk of bleeding among people who take anticoagulant and antiplatelet medications. Also, Evening primrose oil might increase the chance of bleeding during or after surgery. Stop using it at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery.
It may also raise the risk of seizures as well as serious nausea and vomiting for people taking a class of drugs known as phenothiazines.
Should be used cautiously in persons with bleeding disorders, seizure disorders such as epilepsy. Also, people who take medication to lower blood pressure should be careful, because evening primrose oil may cause a further drop in pressure.
Adverse Reactions
Mild side effects including upset stomach, nausea, diarrhea, and headache.
