Paracetamol, vitamin B complex.
Dull yellow to golden-yellow film-coated tablet, capsule-shaped, biconvex, plain on one side and bisected on the other side.
Each film-coated tablet contains: Paracetamol 500 mg, Vitamin B1 (Thiamine Mononitrate) 50 mg, Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) 100 mg, Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) 100 mcg.
Paracetamol + Vitamin B1 + Vitamin B6 + Vitamin B12 is high potency formulation of the neurotropic vitamin B components, reinforced with an analgesic paracetamol. This unique formulation promotes adequate nourishment of the different body systems especially the central and peripheral nervous systems, as well as alleviate painful conditions that accompany neuromuscular illnesses. The vitamin B components catalyze various basic biochemical processes required in promoting nervous system physiology. Paracetamol, with its pain relieving actions compliments the nerve soothing actions of vitamins B1, B6 and B12.
For acute and particularly painful neuritis and neuralgia, cervical syndrome, shoulder-arm syndrome, lumbalgia, intercostal neuralgia, ischialgia, trigeminal neuralgia, herpes zoster and post-op pain.
1-2 tablets three times a day or as prescribed by the physician.
What should the patient do if they miss a dose: If the patient misses a dose for the day, simply take the next dose at the usual time.
Signs and symptoms of overdose: Overdosage with paracetamol can result in severe liver damage and sometimes acute renal tubular necrosis. Prompt treatment with acetylcysteine or methionine is essential.
What to do when the patient has taken more than the recommended dosage: If the patient has taken more than the recommended dosage, consult a doctor.
If the patient is allergic to any ingredient in the product.
Caution is required in patients with hepatic and renal insufficiency, chronic alcohol abuse and in persons with impaired glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD).
Paracetamol undesirable effects are rare and usually mild, although haematological reactions including thrombocytopenia, leucopenia, pancytopenia, neutropenia and agranulocytosis have been reported. Skin rashes and other hypersensitivity reactions occur occasionally. Overdosage with Paracetamol can result in severe liver damage and sometimes acute renal tubular necrosis. The vitamins contained in Vitamin B Complex are completely non-toxic even in high doses and usually no side effects occur. Sensitivity to Vitamin B
1 however, may sometimes be encountered if administration is at prolonged intervals, irregular or if initial dose are low and suddenly increased.
Liver dysfunctions could also predispose patients to hypersensitivity reactions. Nevertheless, it must be stressed that hypersensitivity to Vitamin B
1 is very rare when orally given unlike if administered by intravenous infection where hypersensitivity more often encountered.
When should the patient consult a doctor: If any undesirable effect occurs.
This drug interacts with alcohol, oral anticoagulants, chloramphenicol, aspirin, liver enzyme inducers like barbiturates and hepatotoxic agents.
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Protect from moisture.
