Incompatibilities: (This list may not be all-inclusive due to the multiple factors influencing drug compatibility data).
When combined with clindamycin phosphate in an infusion solution, ampicillin, phenytoin sodium, barbiturates, aminophylline, calcium gluconate, magnesium sulfate, ceftriaxone sodium, and ciprofloxacin are each physically incompatible with clindamycin phosphate.
Special Precautions for Disposal and Other Handling: Granules for Oral Solution: Reconstitution instructions: Reconstitute bottle of 60 mL with a total of 45 mL of water as follows: Add a large portion of the water and shake vigorously; add remaining water and shake until solution is uniform.
Do not refrigerate the reconstituted solution; when chilled, the solution may thicken and be difficult to pour. The solution is stable for two weeks at room temperature.
