Per cap Paracetamol 325 mg, guaifenesin 100 mg, phenylpropanolamine HCl 20 mg, dextromethorphan HBr 15 mg, chlorphenamine maleate 1 mg. Per 5 mL syr Phenylpropanolamine HCl 12.5 mg, chlorphenamine maleate 500 mcg. Per mL oral drops Phenylpropanolamine HCl 6.25 mg, chlorphenamine maleate 250 mcg

Indications/Uses

Nasal congestion, rhinorrhea, sneezing, post nasal drip, common cold, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis & vasomotor rhinitis.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Cap Adult & older childn 1 cap tid. Syr Adult 10 mL every 6 hr. Childn 7-12 yr 5 mL every 6 hr, 2-6 yr 2.5 mL every 6 hr. Oral drops Childn 1-2 yr 1 mL every 6 hr, 7-12 mth 0.75 mL every 6 hr, 4-6 mth 0.5 mL every 6 hr, 1-3 mth 0.25 mL every 6 hr.

Administration

May be taken with or without food.

Contraindications

Syr: Hyperthyroidism, HTN, coronary disease, closed-angle glaucoma.

Special Precautions

Cap: Phenylpropanolamine HCl (PPA): high BP, toxic goiter, benign prostatic hypertrophy, irregular heart rate, glaucoma, & patients taking antidepressants, patients w/ heart disease/untreated high BP. Syr: May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy.
