Per 5 mL Cixtor-Z syr Ascorbic acid 97.50 mg (equiv to 109.67 mg Na ascorbate), Zn 9 mg (equiv to 57.19 mg Zn ascorbate). Per mL Cixtor-Z oral drops Ascorbic acid 45 mg (as Na ascorbate), Zn 4.5 mg (as Zn ascorbate). Dosage/Direction for Use

Cixtor-Z Chewable tab Adult 1 chewable tab daily. Syr Childn & adolescent 2.5-5 mL (½-1 tsp) once daily. Oral drops Infant & young childn 0.5-1 mL once daily. Cixtor-Z Max Adult 1 cap daily.

Adverse Reactions

Nausea & vomiting (Zn: high doses >40 mg). Ascorbic acid: Heartburn, abdominal cramps, fatigue, flushing, insomnia & sleepiness w/ high doses. Cixtor-Z Max Vit D₃: Allergic reactions eg, rash or itching; swelling of the face, throat, & tongue; severe dizziness; trouble breathing; changes in heart rhythm including irregular or racing heart beat.

Drug Interactions

Cixtor-Z Max Vit D₃: Avoid concomitant use w/ paricalcitol, calcipotriene, doxercalciferol, mineral oil, orlistat, bile acid sequestrants eg, colesevelam, colestipol, cholestyramine. Decreased or prevents absorption of vit D & other fat-dependent vit eg, vit A, E & K w/ orlistat & bile acid sequestrants. Digoxin, Al hydroxide, water pills eg, chlorthalidone, hydrochlorothiazide, & chlorothiazide, Mg hydroxide & Mg citrate, fosphenytoin.
