Each capsule contains: Iron (equivalent to 200 mg FeSO4), USP 65 mg, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), USP 120 mg, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), USP 20 mg, Thiamine HCl (Vitamin B1), USP 2.68 mg, Pyridoxine HCl (Vitamin B6), USP 2.44 mg, Riboflavin Phosphate (Vitamin B2), USP 2.40 mg, Folic Acid (Vitamin B9), USP 440 mcg, Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12), USP 12 mcg.
The product contains iron, Vitamin B6 and B12. These nutrients are necessary for healthy blood, synthesis of hemoglobin and to prevent iron-deficiency anemia (IDA). Folic acid, vitamin B6 and B12 are also required in the metabolism of homocysteine to prevent accumulation levels in the blood. Elevated blood homocysteine may be a risk factor in the development of cardiovascular disease.
Also this product provides vitamin B1, B2 and B3 which helps in the conversion of food to energy. It also contains vitamin C which enhances iron absorption and helps protect the body against the harmful effects of free radicals.
This medicine is a nutritional supplement for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia and vitamin b-complex deficiencies.
Adult: Orally, one capsule daily or as prescribed by the physician.
Missed Dose: If the patient misses a dose, just take the next dose and the subsequent doses at the usual recommended schedule, i.e., once a day.
Do not double the dose unless recommended by a doctor.
If the patient has taken more than the recommended dosage, consult a doctor.
Signs & symptoms of overdose: Diarrhea, nausea, constipation, abdominal discomfort.
In case of accidental overdose, discontinue use and seek medical assistance immediately.
If the patient is allergic to any component of the product.
If the patient has primary hemochromatosis, peptic ulcer (stomach sores), regional enteritis (inflammation of the intestines such as Crohn's disease), or ulcerative colitis (colon sores).
Do not sure more than the recommended dose unless prescribed by a doctor.
Consult a doctor: If the patient has symptoms of anemia (e.g., fatigue, pale skin, fast heartbeat, shortness of breath, chest pain, dizziness, etc). Consult a doctor before taking this medicine.
If any undesirable effect occurs.
Iron: Gastrointestinal side effects such as nausea, vomiting, bloating, and upper abdominal discomfort are seen with high iron doses. Other undesirable effects may include either diarrhea or constipation.
Vitamin C: Prolonged intake of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) in excess 2 grams per day may lead to nausea, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, and nose bleeds.
Do not use together with antacids and tetracyclines since they may result in reduced iron absorption.
Do not use together with chloramphenicol since it may cause delayed response to iron therapy.
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.
Protect from light.
