Administration

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity. Patient w/ kidney &/or heart disease, cancer, high levels of Ca in blood, circulation problems or parathyroid gland disorder. Pregnancy & lactation.

Special Precautions

Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended dose. Discontinue if adverse health effects or overdose symptoms have occurred.

Adverse Reactions

Constipation, bloating, gas, nausea, vomiting, hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria & nephrolithiasis.

Drug Interactions

May interact w/ dolutegravir, elvitegravir, antibiotics (fluoroquinolone, tetracyclines eg, doxycycline, minocycline), bisphosphonates or levothyroxine. Do not take Ca supplement w/ high-fiber meal. Do not smoke cigarettes or cigars & do not drink large amounts of alcohol or caffeine.
