Pharmacotherapeutic Group: Anti-inflammatory/anti-pruritic.
Pharmacology: Mechanism of Action: This medicine contains calamine and zinc oxide which have an astringent action. The cream has a soothing effect on mild sunburn and other minor skin conditions.
A moisture barrier that prevents and helps heal skin from diaper rash, minor burns, cuts, allergic rashes, insect bites, perspiration, irritation, acne, prickly heat wounds or fistula drainage, hemorrhoids, fungus infection, eczema, impetigo, skin irritation due to incontinence and temporarily relieves discomfort and provides long lasting protection.
Cleanse skin gently with mild skin cleanser. Allow to air dry. Apply a thin layer of cream to affected skin two to four times daily to promote comfort and long lasting protection.
Do not use the medicine in case of allergy to any of the ingredients.
Not for deep or punctured wounds. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of accidental ingestion contact a physician or poison control center immediately. If condition worsens or does not improve within 7 days consult the doctor.
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. If the child has an allergic reaction to this medicine, see a doctor right away: Allergic/irritant reaction (e.g. skin rash, red or itchy skin).
If the patient gets any of the side effects, stop use and tell the doctor or pharmacist.
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.
