Indications/Uses

Relief of symptoms associated w/ common cold eg, cough, rhinorrhea, nasal congestion, sneezing & throat irritation.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult & childn ≥12 yr 10 mL (2 tsp) every 4 hr. Max: Not to exceed 6 doses in 24 hr, 6-12 yr 5 mL (1 tsp) every 4 hr. Max: Not to exceed 6 doses in 24 hr.

Special Precautions

Not to be used for persistent or chronic cough (eg, cough occurring w/ asthma), or where cough is accompanied by excessive secretions. Patients w/ resp condition eg, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, or acute or chronic bronchial asthma; glaucoma, prostate hyperplasia w/ urinary retention. Not to be used w/ any other diphenhydramine-containing product (even one used on skin). May cause drowsiness. Avoid alcohol during treatment. Use caution when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery. Not to be used during pregnancy & lactation. Not recommended in childn <6 yr.
