Not to be administered by IV, intradermal, or into the buttock. Child w/ weakened immune system due to corticosteroids, cytotoxic drugs, RT or other treatments likely to weaken the immune system; HIV or any other diseases that weaken the immune system; liver disease; hemophilia or prone to bruises or bleeding. Vaccination may not work properly if the child is already infected by hepatitis A at the time of administration. Contains phenylalanine. Pregnancy & lactation. Preferable not to use during pregnancy, except in case of a major contamination risk.
Inj site pain; abnormal crying. Decreased appetite; irritability, insomnia; headache; belly pain, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting; muscle & joint pain; local inj site reactions eg, pain, redness, swelling or induration, haematoma; malaise, fever, fatigue or somnolence.
Drug Interactions
Diminished immunological response w/ immunosuppressive treatment. All inj must be performed in separate inj sites, & the vaccines must not be mixed in the same syringe. May not work so well if given at the same time as Ig.
