Fe sulfate monohydrate (equiv to 65.73 mg Fe) 200 mg, Na ascorbate [equiv to 100 mg ascorbic acid (vit C)] 112.49 mg, nicotinamide (vit B3) 20 mg, riboflavin phosphate [equiv to 2 mg riboflavin (vit B2)] 2.54 mg, thiamine mononitrate (vit B1) 2 mg, pyridoxine HCl (vit B6) 2 mg, folic acid (vit B9) 400 mcg, cyanocobalamin (vit B12) 10 mcg
Indications/Uses
Prevention & treatment of vit C & B-complex, folic acid, & Fe deficiencies. Pre- & post-natal supplement.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Take on an empty stomach 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals for better Fe absorption. May be taken w/ food if stomach upset occurs.
Adverse Reactions
Rarely, numbness, hypersensitivity reactions, constipation, vomiting, abdominal pain, black stool discoloration, & bright yellow urine.
Drug Interactions
Patients taking PPIs, fluorouracil, levodopa, anticonvulsants, altretamine, sulfasalazine, MTX, cotrimoxazole, lithium therapy, aspirin, H2-receptor antagonist, neomycin, colchicine, chloramphenicol, antacids, penicillamine, tetracycline, cefdinir, methyldopa, quinolone antibiotics, or levothyroxine. Avoid drinking coffee, tea, or red wine while taking this medicine.
