Shelf life: 2 years.
Shelf life after first use of the vial: The product may be stored for a maximum of 4 weeks below 25°C away from direct heat or direct light. Keep the vial in the outer carton in order to protect from light.
It is recommended that the date of the first use from the vial be noted on the label.
Shelf life for intravenous use: Insulin glulisine for intravenous use at a concentration of 1 Unit/mL is stable between 15°C and 25°C for 48 hours (see Special precautions for disposal and other handling under Cautions for Usage).
Special precautions for storage: Unopened vials: Store in a refrigerator (2°C - 8°C).
Do not freeze.
Do not put Apidra next to the freezer compartment or a freezer pack.
Keep the vial in the outer carton in order to protect from light.
