Paracetamol 250 mg, guaifenesin 100 mg, phenylpropanolamine HCl 25 mg, dextromethorphan HBr 10 mg, chlorpheniramine maleate 1 mg
Indications/Uses
Relief of fever, pain & discomfort associated w/ colds & flu.

Contraindications
Special Precautions
Phenylpropanolamine HCl: Patients w/ high BP, toxic goiter, benign prostatic hypertrophy, heart rate irregularity, glaucoma & those taking antidepressants. Antihistamines may cause drowsiness & dulling of mental alertness where loss of attention may lead to accidents. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Drowsiness, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, headache, thickening of bronchial secretions, urinary retention, increased risk of hemorrhagic stroke due to phenylpropanolamine, CNS depression.
Drug Interactions
Paracetamol: Hepatotoxicity w/ alcohol. Increased effects of aceclofenac, aldosterone, atorvastatin, prednisone, NSAIDs & warfarin. Phenylpropanolamine HCl: Decreased broncho dilatory effects by β-blockers, clozapine. Hypokalemia w/ diuretics. Dextromethorphan HBr: Decreased metabolism w/ celecoxib, chloramphenicol, vit D. Increased serum levels w/ colchicine, doxorubicin, & phenytoin. Increased serotonergic activities w/ sertraline, toloxatone, alosetron, amphetamine & citalopram. Chlorpheniramine maleate: Co-administration w/ alcohol, antihistamines, CNS depressants, & sedatives.
