2 mg: Slightly light-colored yellow-red, scored film-coated tablets embossed "Kowa 202" on one face and scored on the reverse. The tablet can be divided into equal halves.
4 mg: Light yellow, scored film-coated tablets embossed "Kowa 203" on one face and scored on the reverse. The tablet can be divided into equal halves.
Each film-coated tablet contains 2.0 mg (for LIVALO Tablets 2 mg) or 4.0 mg (for LIVALO Tablets 4 mg) of pitavastatin calcium (as hydrate).
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Lactose hydrate, low substituted hydroxypropylcellulose, hypromellose, magnesium aluminometasilicate, magnesium stearate, triethyl citrate, hydrated silicon dioxide, titanium oxide, carnauba wax, food yellow No. 5 (sunset yellow FCF), and (LIVALO Tablets 4 mg only) yellow ferric oxide.
