Gaviscon: Each 10ml of oral suspension contains 500 mg sodium alginate, 267 mg sodium bicarbonate and 160 mg calcium carbonate as the active ingredients. The product is sugar-free and colour-free. The patient can take this product if the patients is pregnant or breast feeding.
Gaviscon Double Action: Each 10-mL liquid contains sodium alginate 500 mg, sodium bicarbonate 213 mg and calcium carbonate 325 mg.
Gaviscon Double Action is sugar- and gluten-free.
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Gaviscon: 40mg methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), and 6mg propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216) as preservative. It also contains carbomer, sodium saccharin, sodium hydroxide, natural mint flavour and purified water.
Gaviscon Double Action: It also contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate 40mg and propyl parahydroxybenzoate 6mg as preservatives.
