Each 10 ml dose contains sodium 4.6 mmol, potassium 2 mmol and calcium 2 mmol. If the patient has been advised to follow a diet restricted in any of these, the patient should consult the physician before taking Gaviscon Advance.
Gaviscon Advance contains methyl and propyl parabens which may very rarely cause an allergic reaction. This treatment may be less effective if the patient has decreased amounts of gastric acid produced in the stomach.
Reduced kidney function, hypercalcaemia, nephrocalcinosis, recurrent calcium containing renal calculi.
Use in pregnancy & lactation: Gaviscon Advance can be taken by pregnant and breastfeeding women.
