Indications/Uses

Symptomatic relief of mild to moderate pain, headache, fever, nasal congestion & allergic conditions eg, sneezing, itching & allergic rhinitis.

Adult 1 caplet tds-qds.

Overdosage

View Decolgen FX overdosage for action to be taken in the event of an overdose.

Administration

May be taken with or without food.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to paracetamol, pseudoephedrine HCl, chlorpheniramine maleate or sympathomimetics. Severe HTN or coronary disease. Concomitant use or w/in 2 wk of MAOI therapy. Liver dysfunction.

Special Precautions

Discontinue use if sleeplessness, palpitation & dizziness occur. Not to be taken by patients w/ HTN, glaucoma, diabetes or hyperthyroidism. Alcohol dependence. Long-term use. Not to be taken concomitantly w/ other paracetamol-containing medicines. May affect ability to drive & use machines. Renal or hepatic impairment. Pregnancy. Not recommended during lactation. Childn <6 yr.

Adverse Reactions

Drowsiness/sedation, GI disturbances, insomnia, tremor, tachycardia, arrhythmia, dry mouth, palpitation, urinary retention. Skin rashes & hypersensitivity reactions. CNS depressive & stimulatory effects.

Drug Interactions

Concomitant use w/ CNS depressants, other sympathomimetics eg, decongestants, TCAs, appetite suppressants, amphetamine-like psychostimulants, MAOIs. Partially reversed hypotensive action of bretylium, bethanidine, guanethidine, debrisoquine, methyldopa, α- & β-blockers. Avoid use w/ alcohol.
