1-blocker treatment & receiving antihypertensive; swallowing disorders eg, stenosing oesophageal changes or neurological disorders accompanied by impaired oesophageal motility. Intraoperative floppy iris syndrome. Changes in breast tissue eg, lumps or nipple discharge; male breast cancer. Monitor for acute/chronic urinary retention in patients w/ large residual urinary vol &/or severely diminished urinary flow. Perform digital rectal exam & serum PSA level for prostate cancer detection. May cause allergic reactions due to sunset yellow (E110). Not to be co-administered w/ CYP3A4 inhibitors eg, ketoconazole, itraconazole, voriconazole, clarithromycin, indinavir, nelfinavir, ritonavir, saquinavir. Avoid use w/ other adrenergic α
1-blockers. Co-administration w/ moderate CYP3A4 inhibitors eg, erythromycin, fluconazole, verapamil, diltiazem. Combination therapy w/ PDE5 inhibitors. May affect ability to drive & use machines. Mild to moderate hepatic & severe renal (CrCl <10 mL/min) impairment. Avoid use during pregnancy. Lactation. Women, childn & adolescents must avoid contact w/ leaking cap. Not indicated in patients ≤21 yr.
