Bladder outlet obstruction associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia in patients ≥65 yr.
Adult: 4 mg twice daily.
Take after breakfast and evening meal.
Patients with orthostatic hypotension, impaired hepatic and renal function. Concomitant treatment with PDE-5 inhibitors. Patients should be instructed to operate potentially hazardous machinery, such as driving a car, with caution.
Retrograde ejaculation, thirst, diarrhea, loose stools, dizziness on standing up, nasal congestion, light-headed feeling, headache.
Elevated plasma concentration with CYP3A4 inhibitors. Diminished ability to regulate blood pressure on standing with hypotensive agents. Enhanced hypotensive effect with PDE-5 inhibitors.
G04CA04 - silodosin ; Belongs to the class of alpha-adrenoreceptor antagonists. Used in the treatment of benign prostatic hypertrophy.
