Indications/Uses

Relief of gastric disturbance due to excessive acidity, reflux oesophagitis, gastritis, flatulence, epigastric pain caused by entrapped gas.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Chewable tab Adult 1-2 tab 3-4 times daily. Ultilox Childn 6-12 yr ½-1 tab 3-4 times daily. Susp Adult 1-2 tsp to be taken 3-4 times daily. Childn 6-12 yr ½-1 tsp. Forte susp Adult 1 tsp. Childn 6-12 yr ½ tsp.

Administration

Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals & at bedtime. Chew tab thoroughly before swallowing.

Contraindications

Patients w/ renal impairment.

Special Precautions

Do not use for >2 wk. Other antiulcers eg, cimetidine or tetracycline antibiotics should be given w/ 1-2 hr interval. Low P diet; long term use can reduce blood P levels. Childn <6 yr.
