Triprolidine, Pseudoephedrine and Dextromethorphan are combined together in this medicine.
This medicine helps relieve cough, symptoms of cold and allergy such as runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, and sneezing.
Take Triprolidine + Pseudoephedrine + Dextromethorphan exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.
This medicine is available as a syrup. Shake the bottle well before you take it to ensure that the liquid is evenly mixed. Use the measuring spoon or cup provided to measure your dose.
Try to take it at the same time each day.
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule.
DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances.
Alert your doctor if you have the following conditions:
- severe coronary artery disease (disorder of the blood vessels of the heart)
- severe high blood pressure
- cough associated with asthma
Do not take Triprolidine + Pseudoephedrine + Dextromethorphan if you are currently taking or have taken a medicine to treat depression known as a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) in the last 14 days.
Inform your doctor if you have the following conditions:
- heart disease
- liver disease
- kidney disease
- diabetes
- thyroid disease
- enlarged prostate
- increased pressure in the eyes
- history of drug abuse
Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Be sure to check with your doctor or pharmacist before giving this medicine to children below 12 years old.
If you are going for certain laboratory tests (e.g. urine drug tests), inform your doctor that you are taking this medicine.
Do not exceed the recommended dose or take this medicine for more than 7 days. Consult a doctor if symptoms do not go away.
Triprolidine + Pseudoephedrine + Dextromethorphan may cause drowsiness or dizziness. If affected, do not drive or take part in any activity in which you need to be alert.
Other side effects include any of the following: rash, palpitations, difficulty urinating, and dryness of the mouth, nose or throat.
Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
Do not take Triprolidine + Pseudoephedrine + Dextromethorphan if you are currently taking or have taken a medicine to treat depression known as a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) such as isocarboxacid, phenelzine and tranylcypromine in the last 14 days.
Do not take this medicine with furazolidone (antibiotic).
Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any of these medicines:
- medicines for high blood pressure e.g. guanethedine, methyldopa
- medicines for depression e.g. amitriptyline, fluoxetine, paroxetine
- medicine used to treat irregular heartbeat e.g. amiodarone, quinidine
- medicine to treat fungal infections e.g. terbinafine
- other medicines for cold and allergy
This list does not include all medicines that may interact with Triprolidine + Pseudoephedrine + Dextromethorphan.
Always notify your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
Avoid alcohol.
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.
Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
