Dosage/Direction for Use
IV infusionEmergency treatment of acute HTN crises during surgery Starting rate: 2-10 mcg/kg/min until desired BP value is reached, then adjust thereafter. May be administered at 10-30 mcg/kg IV. HTN emergency 0.5-6 mcg/kg/min.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Suspected incomplete hemostasis following intracranial hemorrhage. Elevated ICP at the acute stage of cerebral stroke.
Special Precautions
Hepatic or renal dysfunction; aortic stenosis. Monitor closely BP & heart rate. Change inj site if redness appears after long-term administration. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn. Elderly.
