Paracetamol acts as antipyretic at the temperature regulation center in the brain and as analgesic to increase pain threshold.
Fever, temporary relief of minor aches, pains, headache and toothache, discomfort associated with common colds or flu, fever after vaccinations.
Tempra: Syrup: Children 6 years: 10 mL, 4-5 years: 7.5 mL, 2-3 years: 5 mL, ≤2 years: Use Tempra drops. To be taken every 4 hrs but not more than 5 times daily.
Drops: Children 10-24 months: 1.2 mL, 3-9 months: 0.8 mL, <3 months: As directed by the doctor. To be taken every 4 hrs but not more than 5 times daily.
Tempra Forte: Forte: Children >12 years: 10-12.5 mL, 6-12 years: 5-10 mL 3-4 times daily.
Overdose of paracetamol may cause liver toxicity in many patients. In case of overdosage, immediately contact the nearest hospital.
Use carefully in patients with renal disorder.
If fever still remains after 2 days or pain persists after 5 days, seek for medical care unit assistance.
Use of Tempra Forte in alcohol-consuming patients can increase the risk of hepatic impairment.
Hypersensitivity reactions.
Store at room temperature (25°-30°C). Protect from light.
