Streptomycin sulfate

Indications/Uses

TB & other Streptomycin-indicated infections.

Dosage/Direction for Use

TB 750 mg daily 3 times/wk or 1.5 g 2 times/wk. Acute infections: 1-2 g/day.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to other aminoglycosides.

Special Precautions

Poor oral & parenteral nutrition. Renal & hepatic impairment. Pregnancy & lactation. Elderly.

Adverse Reactions

Ototoxicity, nephrotoxicity, shock, vit K & vit B deficiency, SJS.
