Diclofenac acid
Indications/Uses
Management of mild to moderate acute pain; OA.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Acute pain & OA 1 cap 3 times daily.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity (eg, anaphylactic & serious skin reactions). History of asthma, urticaria, or other allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs. CABG surgery. Active gastric or intestinal ulcer, bleeding or perforation. 3rd trimester pregnancy.
Special Precautions
Reduced doses in patients w/ hepatic disease; initiate at the lowest dose & discontinue if ineffective.
Adverse Reactions
CV thrombotic events, GI bleeding, ulceration & perforation, hepatotoxicity, HTN, heart failure & edema, renal toxicity & hyperkalemia, anaphylactic reactions, serious skin reactions, hematologic toxicity.
