HTN. 1st line treatment of myocardial ischemia. As monotherapy or combination therapy w/ other antianginal drugs in patients w/ nitrates &/or β-blockers-refractory angina.
Dosage/Direction for Use
HTN 5 mg once daily. May be increased to max of 10 mg daily. Chronic stable or vasospastic angina 5-10 mg daily. Patients who are small, debilitated, elderly or w/ impaired liver function Initially 2.5 mg once daily.
C08CA01 - amlodipine ; Belongs to the class of dihydropyridine derivative selective calcium-channel blockers with mainly vascular effects. Used in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
