Etoricoxib is indicated for: Symptomatic relief in the treatment of osteoarthritis (OA).
Treatment of pain and signs of inflammation associated with acute gouty arthritis.
Etoricoxib should be used only for the acute symptomatic period limited to a maximum of 8 days.
Relief of chronic musculoskeletal pain.
Relief of acute pain associated with dental surgery.
The decision to prescribe a selective COX-2 inhibitor should be based on an assessment on individual patient's overall risks (see PRECAUTIONS).
