Prevention and relief of motion sickness and treatment of vertigo, nausea or vomiting associated with: Electroshock therapy, anaesthesia and surgery, labyrinthine disturbances, radiation sickness and post-fenestration syndrome.
Adults: Therapeutic and Prophylactic Dose: 50-100 mg 3 or 4 times daily.
Children ≥12 years: 50 mg (1 tab) 2 or 3 times daily; 8-12 years: 25-50 mg (½-1 tab) 2 or 3 times daily; 6-8 years: 12.5-25 mg (¼-½ tab) 2 or 3 times daily. For prevention of motion sickness, the 1st dose should be given 30 min before departure.
Caution should be used when Dramamine is given in conjunction with certain antibiotics which may cause ototoxicity, since Dramamine is capable of masking ototoxic symptoms and irreversible state may be reached.
Use in pregnancy & lactation: Although clinical studies in pregnant women have not indicated that Dramamine increases the risk of foetal abnormalities, like any drug, it should be used during pregnancy only if benefits outweigh the risks.

Drowsiness may be experienced by some patients, especially those on high dosage, although this effect frequently is not undesirable in some conditions for which the drug is used. However, patients should be cautioned against operating automobiles or dangerous machinery while taking Dramamine because of possible drug-associated drowsiness.
