Sertraline HCl

Indications/Uses

Depression symptoms w/ or w/o history of mania.

Dosage/Direction for Use

50 mg daily, in the morning or evening. Max dose: 200 mg daily.

Administration

May be taken with or without food.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity.

Special Precautions

Unstable & controlled epilepsy. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Hepatic or renal insufficiency. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn.

Adverse Reactions

Nausea, diarrhea, dyspepsia, tremor, dizziness, insomnia, dry mouth, decreased appetite.

Drug Interactions

Serious reactions w/ MAOIs. Higher incidence of 5-HT associated side effects w/ lithium. Alcohol, serotonergic drugs.
