Round, biconvex, yellow, film-coated tablets. The tablets are marked with "90" above "T" on one side and plain on the other.
Each tablet contains 90 mg of ticagrelor.
Round, biconvex, pink, film-coated tablets. The tablets are marked with "60" above "T" on one side and plain on the other.
Each tablet contains 60 mg of ticagrelor.
Round, flat, bevelled edged, white to pale pink, orodispersible tablets marked with '90' above 'TI' on one side and plain on the other.
Each orodispersible tablet contains 90 mg of ticagrelor.
BRILINTA contains ticagrelor, a cyclopentyltriazolopyrimidine, inhibitor of platelet activation and aggregation mediated by the P2Y12 ADP-receptor. Chemically, it is (1S,2S,3R,5S)-3-[7-{[(1R,2S)-2-(3,4-difluorophenyl) cyclopropyl] amino}-5(propylthio)-3H-[1,2,3]-triazolo[4,5-d]pyrimidin-3-yl]-5-(2hydroxyethoxy) cyclopentane-1,2-diol. The empirical formula of ticagrelor is C₂₃H₂₈F₂N₆O₄S and its molecular weight is 522.57.
Ticagrelor is a crystalline powder with an aqueous solubility of approximately 10 μg/mL at room temperature.

60 mg film coated tablet: Core: Mannitol (E421), Dibasic calcium phosphate, Magnesium stearate, Sodium starch glycolate, Hydroxypropyl cellulose.
Coating: Titanium dioxide (E171), Ferric oxide black (E172), Ferric oxide red (E172), Polyethylene glycol 400, Hypromellose.
90 mg orodispersible tablet: Mannitol (E421), Microcrystalline cellulose (E460), Crospovidone (E1202), Xylitol (E967), Anhydrous calcium hydrogen phosphate (E341), Sodium stearyl fumarate, Hydroxypropylcellulose (E463), Colloidal anhydrous silica.
