Contents
Sodium hyaluronate.
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic relief of pain in patients with osteoarthritis or joint degenerative disease-causing synovial fluid dysfunction.
Dosage/Direction for Use
One injection once weekly for three consecutive weeks.
Contraindications
Patients with a history of hypersensitivity. Do not use if there is a skin infection or skin disease in the area to be injected. Do not use if the knee joint to be injected is in a state of severe infection or inflammation.
Special Precautions
Not for ophthamic use. Avoid concomitant use with other intraarticular treatment. Pregnancy, lactation. Children. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Joint discomfort, transient joint pain and inflammation.
Rare: Angioedema, facial flushing dyspnea, swelling, urticaria.
Drug Interactions
Concomitant use with quaternary ammonium salts ie., benzalkonium chloride may cause precipitation of hyaluronic acid.
