Tropex Ear Drops contain 5% Phenazone also Methylhydroxybenzoate and Glycerol.
Tropex Ear Drops contain Phenazone which is an analgesic (pain killer) and an anti-inflammatory agent. Glycerol is used to soften earwax.
Tropex Ear Drops is recommended for relief of the symptoms associated with inflammation of the ear. Glycerol will soften and helps remove any hard wax.
Tropex Ear Drops is for topical use into the external auditory canal.
Usually 4-6 drops should be introduced into the ear three or four times daily according to the severity of the inflammation.
Do not exceed the recommended amount.
If the patient administers more than the recommended amount seek medical advice immediately. Contact the doctor or nearest hospital casualty department and if possible take the ear drops.
What should the patient do if he/she forgets to use Tropex Ear Drops: Use the ear drops as recommended, as soon as the patient remembers then go on as before. Do not use more than 3-4 times daily.
The patient should not use Tropex Ear Drops if he/she has a perforated eardrum or if allergic to any of the ingredients.
If there is no improvement within 24 hours, the patient should consult the doctor.
If there is an infection present, the patient should consult the doctor.
No side effects have been reported with the use of this product.
If the patient experiences any undesirable effects, tell the doctor immediately.
It is best to keep Tropex Ear Drops in the original container provided and sealed with the dropper cap.
The Ear Drops should be kept in a cool place where the temperature is not likely to be greater than 25°C.
Tropex Ear Drops should not be refrigerated.
