Caution should be exercised if any of the following medicines are being taken: Effects of these medicines may change (interactions) with Salofalk: Azathioprine, 6-mercaptopurine or thioguanine (medicines used to treat immune disorders); Certain agents that inhibit blood clotting (medicines for thrombosis or to thin the blood, e.g. warfarin).
Caution should be exercised in patients who are taking/using any other medicines.
Gastro-resistant PR granules: Lactulose (medicine used to treat constipation) or other preparations that can change the acidity of the stools.
Tell a doctor or pharmacist if the patient is taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription. It may still be all right to use Salofalk granules and the doctor will be able to decide what is suitable.
