Pine tar, trolamine lauril sulfate.
Pinetarsol Solution contains Tar (pine tar) 2.3% w/w and trolamine lauril sulfate 6% w/w, an anionic surfactant. It has a pH of 6.5.
Relieves pruritus and inflammation associated with psoriasis, prickly heat, urticaria, chickenpox, anal and genital pruritus, insect bites, prurigo, dermatitis, eczema, heat and napkin rash, sunburn.
Bath: Add 15-30 mL to a warm-to-tepid bath (5 mL to a baby's bath or hand basin). Bathe for 10 minutes once daily, more often in severe cases. Do not use soap. Dry gently.
Shower: Apply directly onto wet skin, leave for a few minutes, and rinse. Do not use soap. Dry gently.
Patients in bed: Add 10 mL to 3 L of warm water, then sponge freely. Do not use soap. Dry gently.
Sensitivity to any of the ingredients of Pinetarsol preparations.
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If any lather enters the eyes, flush with clean water.
