In case of the following conditions, the patient should not use Nicotinell Chewing Gum without consulting the doctor or pharmacist: Serious heart disease; stroke; diabetes; overactive thyroid gland; persistent indigestion or severe sore throat, stomach ulcer; high blood pressure, angina or circulatory problems; serious liver or kidney disease.
Coffee, juices and fizzy drinks may reduce the absorption of nicotine and should not be taken for 15 min before chewing the gum.
The effects of some drugs can be altered when the patient stops smoking, therefore, if the patient is taking other drugs, the doctor must be informed to adjust the dosage.
Fructose intolerance or if the patient is taking any other medicines regularly.
Use in pregnancy & lactation: If the patient is pregnant or breastfeeding, the doctor or pharmacist should be consulted before using Nicotinell Chewing Gum.
