Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any of the active substances or to any of the excipients listed in Description.
Hypersensitivity to other sulphonamide-derived substances (since hydrochlorothiazide is a sulphonamide-derived medicinal product).
Second and third trimesters of pregnancy (see Precautions and Use in Pregnancy & Lactation).
Cholestasis and biliary obstructive disorders.
Severe hepatic impairment.
Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <30 ml/min).
Refractory hypokalaemia, hypercalcaemia.
The concomitant use of Micardis Plus with aliskiren-containing products is contraindicated in patients with diabetes mellitus or renal impairment (GFR <60 ml/min/1.73 m2) (see Interactions; and Pharmacology: Pharmacodynamics under Actions).
