Why do I need this medicine?
Measles, mumps and rubella vaccine helps prevent diseases caused by measles, mumps and rubella viruses in children and adults.

Measles virus can cause rashes, high fever, cough, runny nose and pink eye. It can easily spread from one person to another and on rare occasions, it can also cause brain infection. Measles can last for 1-2 weeks.

Mumps virus can cause fever, headache, tiredness, loss of appetite and swollen and painful salivary glands under the jaw (one or both sides). It can easily be passed on to others and usually lasts for several days.

Rubella virus can cause mild fever, mild red rash, swollen glands in the neck and swelling and pain in the joints. Rubella is often a mild illness but can be very dangerous if a pregnant woman catches it. It can harm the unborn child or cause birth defects in infants born to mothers infected during the early months of pregnancy.
