Recent illness; increased physical activity. Risk of heart failure in patients w/ long-standing type 2 DM & heart disease or previous stroke treated w/ pioglitazone & insulin. Concomitant intake w/ alcohol. Hepatic or renal impairment. May impair ability to drive & use machines. Pregnancy & lactation.
