Severe liver or kidney problems. Very infrequent cases of subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus (SCLE). Discontinue if lesions occur, especially in sun-exposed areas of the skin & if accompanied by arthralgia. Patient losing a lot of wt for no reason & w/ problems swallowing, stomach pain or indigestion, vomits food or blood, blood-stained faeces; concomitant w/ clopidogrel; patients w/ osteoporosis or taking corticosteroids. Long-term (a year or longer) & multiple daily dose PPI therapy may increase the risk for osteoporosis-related fracture of the hip, wrist or spine. Patient should use the lowest dose & shortest duration of PPI therapy appropriate to the condition being treated. Hypomagnesemia may occur in prolonged treatment or in concomitant w/ digoxin or drugs that may cause hypomagnesemia (eg, diuretics). Increased risk of GI infections eg, Salmonella, Campylobacter & possibly
C. difficile. Patients w/ intolerance to some sugars. If affected by dizziness & blurred vision, do not drive or use machines. Pregnancy & lactation.
